Distance: 680 kilometres, average 115 kilometres per day Ascent: 7150 meters Stage 1: From Cape Town to Riebeek Valley. Photo stop in Bloubergstrand. Cycle through the Swartland and over Bothmanskloof Pass to see the Riebeek Valley; sea to Swartland Stage 2: Over Bainskloof to Matroosberg. Climb three passes including Bainskloof from Wellington’s side, Then Michell’s Pass to Ceres and finally Swaarmoed all the way up to Matroosberg Stage 3: Via Koo to Montagu with a possible neutral light gravel start for 14kms to the R46, to finish at Montagu natural springs Stage 4: All new. Start with a part of the famous Double Century in reverse. Route 62 through Barrydale to Buffeljags Stage 5: Flat to Arniston. The shortest stage. Rolling hills then flat to the ocean. Finish on the beach Stage 6: Love the Overberg. Options available on this last stage, include the Tip of Africa, Elim, Napier, Akkedisberg Pass, Stanford or the Hemel & Aarde Valley. Finish in Hermanus at Bien Tang’s Cave The 7th day is entirely optional, cycle back to Stellenbosch via the spectacular Clarence Drive.
