THE RUN


The surfaces are chiefly made up of jeep track sections with a few open roads.




Marathon Distance: 45 kilometres. Total ascent: 1,064 metres. The bulk of the climbing is done in the first 10 kilometres. There is a fair bit of technical content.


Half marathon Distance: 30 kilometres. Total ascent: 510 metres. This is an easy course by most standards.


The 15 km is geared for novices and beginners.

Backsberg lies on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountains, equidistant from Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. This is the ideal location to host a mountain bike event. Do not forget to bring extra money for the Rotary Club of Paarl.
