Stage one starts in Nelspruit and ends in White River, covering 43 kilometres. This promises to be a challenge right from the start. There is 20 kilometres of hard work on gradients of between 2% to 6%. In this mix is the extremely challenging Heidel Eggs climb, which is two kilometres long.
Stage two starts in White River and goes to Sabie via Spitskop, covering 45 kilometres. As you head out of White River the climb over Spitskop will occupy your mind. It is seven kilometres, it is unrelenting and it is rewarding.
Stage three starts in Sabie and goes to Nelspruit via Long Tom Pass, covering 63 kilometres. The ride from Sabie has only one real obstacle, the infamous Long Tom Pass. It is a monster of a hill and it is unforgiving, 12 kilometres of high demand with an average gradient of 7%.
