THE RUN


The Eurosteel Drak Descent route is technical and challenging with plenty of single track. Consistent with races in the area there are many spectacular views. It is definitely not for the inexperienced beginner.
Day One - Distance: 40 kilometres. Start: Restmount Children’s Home.
Day Two - Distance: 45 kilometres. Start: Glenhaven Camp.
There is a less demanding challenge intended for the less adventurous. Day One consists of a 25 kilometre ride and Day Two is 18 kilometres.

EDITORS NOTES

This annual ride where much of the route is on private property along the banks of the Umzimkulu River and its tributaries. It is the first stage race of the 2019 season and will test your early season fitness and skills. Sani Spoors encourages cyclists to make a donation to the Restmount Children’s Home in Underberg. The Home provides opportunities for less fortunate children to spend time in the Southern Drakensberg.
