There are three distances to choose from. The 60 kilometre route is aimed at more experienced cyclists and includes some long and challenging climbs together with some steep, technical downhill sections. There is a fair amount of climbing, the total ascent is over 1,200 metres. The 30 kilometre route roughly follows the longer event and offers all the same spectacular views but avoids a number of the tougher hills. Either way both races will test your cycling skills on gravel, shale, rocky and sandy surfaces. They both follow scenic jeep track and farm roads through vineyards and into the mountains. The total ascent is moderate, just under 850 meters The 17 kilometre route is ideal for beginners and children, following mainly good gravel roads through the vineyards.
