THE RUN


Contrary to the name the event serves as a warm up for the Karoo to Coast. Each day features gentle daily distances.




Stage 1 Wittedrift High School Plettenberg Bay. Distance: 72 kilometres. Total ascent: 1,200 metres.


Stage 3 Cairnbrogie Dairy Farm. Distance: 50 kilometres. Total ascent: 980 metres.


Stage 2 Kay and Monty Vineyards. Distance: 38 kilometres. Total ascent: 1,120 metres. This stage takes place through the award winning Kay and Monty Vineyards which forms part of the Plett Wine Route.

The secret is out, it is Leon Evans who is the notorious "Dr Evil". He is the guy responsible for crafting the Absa Cape Epic. The race will be staged for the seventh time in 2018 and is aimed at riders of average fitness, but also has wide appeal to the fit mountain biker. Entry is open to both solo riders and teams.
