Both the marathon and half marathon are set in a picturesque mountain background promising demanding racing. There is a gentle 20 kilometre route designed for novices and family groups.
The 60 kilometre route is a tale of three mountains. To be sure this is a challenge but it is also a nicely balanced route. The first challenge comes in the first third of the route and the highest point comes just after halfway. Once you have dealt with the last climb – there is an exhilarating ride to the finish.
The 40 kilometre route may well seem a gentler alternative but it is full of challenge.
