THE RUN


The epic ride starts in Malmesbury. It is a non-technical route on good dirt roads and jeep track with no single track sections. For the most part the riding is fast and flowing, the times should be relatively quick. The journey to the third watering point features some hilly sections but it soon flattens out into a pleasantly easy ride. The final stretch is an undulating ride with the fifth and final watering point at the 142 kilometre marker. From there it is but a short peddle home.

A 50-miler events starts at the halfway mark in Riebeeck Kasteel. This race will be staged for the tenth time in 2018. You may enter this ride as a relay team of four each covering about 40 kilometres or as a solo rider covering the whole distance. Solo riders enter in teams of four. Proceeds of the race goes towards Amarider’s advocacy efforts and over the past years have made projects like the recent opening of new trails on Table Mountain possible.
